Every call matters. Your Members of Congress need to hear that patients, families, and researchers are counting on them to protect America's leadership in medical research.

Ask them to urge the White House to withdraw the proposed OMB Uniform Guidance rule before it creates uncertainty for the long-term research and clinical trials patients depend on.

How to Call Your Member of Congress.

  1. Identify who your Member of Congress is and your Member’s office phone number at: https://www.govtrack.us/congress/members.

    • You can also call the Capitol Switchboard at 202-224-3121, but you may need to wait on hold.

  2. Once connected with your Member’s office, use the call script to the right to request that your Member support increased federal funding for lifesaving medical research.

  3. Remember to call both your Representative and two Senators!

Call-In Script.

(You should always use your own words – this is meant to be a starting point.)

Hi, my name is [NAME], and I'm a constituent from [CITY].

I'm calling to ask Senator/Representative [NAME] to urge the White House to withdraw the proposed OMB Uniform Guidance rule.

Medical research depends on a stable and predictable environment. This proposal would create uncertainty that could delay long-term research and clinical trials that patients rely on.

America leads the world in medical research, and I hope the Senator/Representative will help protect that leadership by urging the Administration to withdraw this proposal.

Thank you for your time.

Staff may ask you for your ZIP code.
